Book 2 edit has been wrapped up!! *throws confetti*
That is to say, the basic content edit. I’ve spent some time writing in missing scenes, fleshing out the plotlines from later in the story that needed to be started and seeded earlier and, of course, correcting phrasing to the best of my ability. My friend Ian, reader extraordinaire, had asked some curious questions and, in order to answer, I will definitely compile a Book FAQ or a glossary, or a character guide, or something to answer a few storyline questions. They would come up sooner or later and I figure that it’s best to keep the book for the story for now and maybe release a Q&A guide. There are possibilities.
But now comes the interesting part: formatting. Formatting, uploading, and getting the CreateSpace proof copy. While I’m at it, I will be, of course, catching the loose ‘missing word’ situations that were rife with the first book. My beloved editor, Gayle, has a draft for further editing.
So yes, here we go again! Editing, prepping, publishing, marketing – here. we. go!

I’m on Chapter 11 of Book 2. In other words, after all the hoping and wishing and lots of procrastinating, I’m on the final leg of the editing/plot adjustments before I order the paper copy and work it through the old-fashioned way. So I may well be on track with my release date of March 31st, 2010.
Now, a few things came to my attention, including but not limited to the fact that Amazon’s resellers are getting a bit scammy. First off, my book list price is $16.99 and has been for some time – whoever listed it for over a thousand dollars (not joking) made me laugh. Secondly, it would not be in Used because it’s distributed by a print-on-demand publisher. Third – all of these resellers would get their stock from Amazon/CreateSpace as it is.
So I’ve added a page titled On Purchasing, which is available for your perusal on the right. Long story short: I’d prefer you buy the book from CreateSpace.
For now, back to work I go…

In new things: the Musical Meanderings page on the right side has an organized collection of links to things regarding music: artist and event writeups, mostly.
In book matters, still writing Book 4. Am a little hinky on the continuity of the book; I know where to lead to, but there is a lack of idea as to the events to segue it. I have the beginning and the ending of one chapter, but nothing to fill matters in with. That and one of the characters that was supposed to arrive to the battle hasn’t quite been greeted by her welcoming committee, so to speak.
And in published book matters, since I am not great with summaries, a contest.

If you can come up with a better blurb, go for it – and you will get credit on both CreateSpace and Amazon! And a free copy of Book 2 once that is released (which may take a while).
