I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but if you actually have a plot for me to write, can you not communicate with the fingers to actually get this shit out into a word file and not in just my brain cells?!!!!
Because, really, what’s a plot if I cannot write it? You gave me a brilliant approach to this idea, and leave bupkis for the execution thereof? This just simply will not do. Get the damn espresso, get your fucking ass in gear. I am to hit midpoint by this weekend, or else. Did I make myself clear?
This, I think sums it up right about perfectly. The kickoff to Arc 2 – at least involving the main plot, the main subplot, and how the characters evolve…with Kataria turning into a raging alch at first, looks like – is set, but it’s set only in my head. I am, perhaps mistakenly, writing the story in sequence, laying out each chapter as it should be laid out. While it’s a proper way to approach it, in NaNoWriMo, it ain’t about the proper approach. It’s about getting it written the hell out.
I know that I have to bite it and just write. To hell with chapters, delineations, all of that – all this can be added when I do the pre-editor walkthrough. I may sure as hell regret this later, if only because the memory of editing Book 1 over the course of 3 years is still very fresh in my head, but it’s likely the best way I can keep at my schedule for NaNo, and get Win #5 up before Thanksgiving.
Here’s hoping, in any case!!
