The collapse of the Arizona Jazz Festival [I will leave my quibble with having a mostly R&B lineup and calling it a jazz fest completely aside here; it is beside the point] has already been making the rounds at the speed of light. There are plenty of news articles reporting on this; major networks like CBS already covered this in Phoenix.
At this juncture, I am not ready to write about it for want of concrete, verifiable information; I lack hard evidence at this point. Everything I have surmised so far is what I’ve gleaned from the news articles, and that’s not much more or different than what anyone else knows. Please bear with me.
I cannot write more because, frankly, I don’t much more than anyone else.
However – tomorrow I’m a-flying, and it will be at least a week before I have everything squared away and ready.
Here’s the deal, folks: yes, I’m traveling, but yes, I also have Internet. Will check email once daily, at least. If anything happens in regards to this, or if you stumble across any information at all, please let me know. If you leave a comment on this post, the comments are screened; I will email you if you want me to without the comment being made public. You needn’t worry on confidentiality; I do not burn my sources. Ever.
