About what I do
Obviously, I photograph concerts. A lot. That is indeed the primary focus of my photo and design practice; the music world. Primarily, I work in jazz. However, I also do headshots, real estate, assignment shooting – just like any other photog-on-the-go.
If you click the above site, you’ll see that I have three portfolios, which you will be able to browse on the front page: concerts, real estate, and landscape/scenery.
I also do a lot of freelance writing. In 2012, I was a contributing blogger to Wine & Jazz, had a two-page article/photo spread published in CoffeeTalk Jazz Magazine, multiple articles and reviews in The Jazz In M.E.E. magazine, and had prior work in Smooth Jazz News.
Most notable was an ad for Silverstein Ligatures that utilized one of my photos of Boney James, which was featured in Downbeat Magazine in 2014.
I’ve done a lot of ad work for musicians and music events, as well as full-scale CD sleeve designwork. Very often, I do layouts for media kits and one-sheets. Notable clients: Dee Lucas, Bob Baldwin, Tony Exum Jr., Chieli Minucci.
Additionally, I do book layout (interior and occasionally covers) and editorial work. Notable clients: Patasola Press, Bob Baldwin.
